Legacy.com - Memorial Websites
It’s our duty to keep our loved ones alive in our hearts and in our minds and celebrate their wonderful memories.
Even these days … on the Web!
There are websites where you can keep your loved one’s “legacy” alive and have their very own
virtual memorial.
For example, one site that we used
for Dave’s Mom when she passed away last week is Legacy.com. It’s an
online
memorial
site that is free to set-up.
You can add pictures, video, audio clips, and information about your loved one on their very own web page and then family & friends can
simply
go online
to sign the Memory Book. Perhaps you have a family member living far away and they can’t hop on a plane or drive to the funeral
that
easy. They can send
their condolences via this site. It really is a cool way to share in the grieving and mourning process together. And, the
family really appreciates reading the comments of others!
At Legacy.com, you can also create an online obituary and a timeline of milestones and achievements. You can customize the page by
choosing the color theme and music playing in the background. You can list their “favorite things” like favorite color, favorite flower, favorite dessert,
among other things.
One of the coolest features includes a place where you can accept donations for your loved one’s favorite charity, Church,
or organization. In the Donate section, you’re able to add information for an unlimited number of charities including charity name, cause details
and hyperlinks directly to the organization website.
As you may know, Dave and the “Into Tomorrow” family lost a great woman recently. Beth
and
Chris created an online memorial for Dave’s
mom, Noella, at Legacy.com. You’re welcome to check it out and leave us your thoughts
and encouraging messages. I know
that Dave’s family will appreciate it. Sign Noella's Legacy Memory Book here.
